Molly Schuyler, the “120-pound mother from Nebraska” pulled off “the greatest performance in Wing Bowl history,” annihilating the all-time record of 337 wings, as she finished the last round of the 22nd annual WIP 94 Sportsradio Wing Bowl. Schuyler ravaged 363 wings while second-place finisher Patrick Bertoletti, a competitive eater from Chicago, finished with a total of 356.
What’s funny is that the most “famous” competitor – Philadelphia Eagles’ Center, Jason Kelce – only ate a meager 65 wings in the opening round (not even enough to make it in the top 10).
Schuyler told WIP’s host, Angelo Cataldi that she planned on using the $22,000 prize money for “car payments and kids.”
But wait, it doesn’t end there … Molly also holds 2014 records for:
Eating a 72 oz steak in just 2 minutes, 45 seconds (previous record was 6 mins 48 seconds)
Eating 2 pounds of bacon in just 3.5 minutes and winning the Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival’s bacon-eating contest.
Eating the “Filthy Mo” (compliments of J-Mo’s Sandwich Shack – local food truck), which consists of five pounds of cart-made spaghetti, meatballs, shredded cheese, and fresh chopped basil on almost three feet of toasted garlic bread.
and, most recently, slurping up 12 POUNDS of pudding in 3 minutes – earning herself a spot in the Guinness Book of Records by beating the previous record by more than 10 pounds!
